Sometimes when I am having a day when depression is kicking my butt I like to stick my face in a bucket of roses.
The feel of the petals and the smell of the roses helps to bring me out of past failures, shame and other depressive thoughts and feelings that are threatening to overwhelm me and back into the now.
It reminds me how lucky I am to be here and now with a wonderful rose garden.
